Austin Rogers ad on faith to air in markets across Panhandle

The Panama City Republican touts his local roots and values in a 30-second spot.

Republican congressional candidate Austin Rogers just made a major ad buy across media markets throughout Florida’s 2nd Congressional District.

Faith” describes Rogers’ roots in Florida’s Panhandle, while also stressing his religious values.

“We’re excited for voters of Florida’s 2nd congressional district to see what we know, Austin’s faith, local roots, and steadfast backing of the MAGA agenda proves he is the most reliable conservative in this race,” said Michael Stwarka, spokesperson for Rogers for Florida.

“Austin will give President (DonaldTrump strong backup and will provide a Strong America First voice for the voters of the Panhandle in Congress.”

Rogers is running to succeed retiring U.S. Rep. Neal Dunn, a Panama City Republican. He most recently worked in Washington as General Counsel to U.S. Sen. Rick Scott, Florida’s senior Senator.

The 30-second spot, appearing on digital platforms since April, will now appear on broadcast airwaves in media markets including Panama City and Tallahassee. According to Rogers’ campaign, the ad will air in every media market within the district

The ad shows Rogers fishing from a boat in local waters near Panama City, then flashes to images of him growing up in Lynn Haven, including graduating high school there. It then references a spiritual awakening around that time.

“In high school, I had a real encounter with God. It changed everything,” Rogers says in the ad. “Since then, my foundation is simple: faith, family, freedom.”

The ad continues with Rogers criticizing policies under Democratic President Joe Biden.

“Our country was broken under Biden. President Trump is turning things around, and I’ll help him finish the job,” Rogers says in the video.

Rogers is running in a GOP Primary against opponents including lawyer Keith Gross and Republican Party of Florida Chair Evan Power. The election is Aug. 18. In the heavily Republican district, the Primary will likely determine the next member of Congress.
